Trader by day, computer scientist by night. Writes the guides and news published here.
About
I am a computer scientist by training and an investor by habit. The two took a while to meet. I spent years writing software before I started taking the market seriously, and once I did, the same thing kept happening: the tools I could buy did not answer the question I was asking, and the ones that came close did not look inside the minute.
So I built my own. Subsecond came out of that. It reads the whole US market on rolling windows down to ten seconds, and it treats pre-market and after-hours as real sessions with their own baselines instead of an afterthought, because that is where most of what I care about happens. I still use it every day, and most of what it does now started as something I wanted while using it.
I write the mover reports and the guides here for the same reason I built the scanner. Explaining a number properly is how I find out whether I actually understand it.
